The Barns

History at every turn

Dating back to 1485, Caswell's restored barns carry five centuries of stories within their ancient stone walls. Exposed timbers, natural light, and contemporary warmth combine into a space unlike any other in the Cotswolds.

The ceremony barn flows naturally into the dining and reception spaces — no awkward transitions, no coaches required. Your guests move between moments with ease, and the whole day unfolds as one seamless experience.

Outdoor ceremonies

Ancient stone beneath an open sky

The outdoor ceremony space — framed by Cotswold stone and flowering hedgerow — offers an entirely different kind of backdrop for your vows. The air carries wildflower and lavender. The light here is extraordinary.

The Ceremony Archway

Framed by flowers and centuries of stone

Whether you choose our stone-framed outdoor ceremony space or the warmth of the barn, both are licensed for civil ceremonies and both give you the backdrop that only a 15th-century estate can offer.

Your florist can fill the archway with whatever speaks to you — wildflowers from the hedgerow, formal florals, trailing greenery — and the ancient stone will make it feel as though it has always been there.

From lavender beds to ancient orchards and meadow paths, the grounds of Caswell House offer endless opportunities for photography, exploration, and quiet moments between the celebration.

Lavender Gardens

Fragrant lavender beds in full summer bloom — the backdrop for the photographs your guests will be talking about for years.

The Cotswold Meadows

Wildflower meadows and working farmland surround the estate. Cows in the fields and ducks in the gardens — this is a living, breathing countryside estate.

Ancient Orchards

Heritage apple trees and kitchen gardens supply the estate's kitchens and offer yet another world to wander through with your partner and guests.

“From the moment you arrive, Caswell inspires a deep sense of belonging — a place to slow down, settle in, and celebrate surrounded by warmth.”
